I am Mike Fedor the AMA District VIII representative on the Outdoor Free Flight Contest Board. My responsibility as the Dist. VIII FF Contest Board rep.is to vote to approve or not approve rules change proposals that affect the AMA outdoor Free Flight competition rules. My vote in these matters is determined by the opinions of the AMA licensed Free Flighters residing in District VIII (TX, OK, AR, LA, and NM). If you are an AMA licensed Free Flighter residing in District VIII and haven't been receiving my opinion survey on the rules change proposals, e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll add you to my contact list.
I have been competing in all of the various Free Flight events (AMA gas, rubber, and glider, FAI power, rubber, and glider, FAC scale, NFFS nostalgia, SAM old time gas, rubber, and glider) since 1958. If it's a Free Flight event, I've probably flown it sometime in the last 50+ years. I was inducted into the National Free Flight Society Hall of Fame in 2010. I have been a contest director since 1969 and a member (and sometimes officer) of the TEXAS CLOUD CLIMBERS FF club since 1960. I attend most of the FF contests in Dist. VIII.
